Recreation: Swimming and Tennis
 The
Harbor Music Day Camp is once again continuing to
provide our local children here on the east end of Long
Island with a music day camp. A camp for kids who love
music, but who are not necessarily musicians much less
musical prodigies. Every child or teen from beginner to
advanced will have a place at Harbor Music Day Camp.
Our intention is to run a
well rounded program that is as affordable as possible so
that children from all walks of life can participate.
Unfortunately,
the fee is still not affordable for everyone. We currently
have several children who would love to attend but are in
need of some financial assistance. We have a limited amount
of money for aid at this time. We could use assistance in
sponsoring scholarships for some of our local students.
For years. most of our worker
based families have been prevented from taking advantage of
the many fine opportunities that are available each summer
to the children of their more affluent “summer colony”
counterparts. We would like to be able to offer full or
partial scholarships to as many of our local families as
possible. These scholarships would allow our local children
to reap the benefits of this terrific day camp.
 Our
ultimate goal is to provide our east end children a camp
that is not only unique and musical, but also lasts all
summer long! Our long-term dream is to purchase a piece of
land. On this land, our plan is to build a tennis court,
pool and 2 buildings, which will be used for educational
purposes.
This is an opportunity for
our local business community to help out the children right
here in our own backyard. We would be honored to be able to
feature  your
name and logo in our camp, ad-print, radio and internet
promotions. Any merchandise or services that you can
contribute would also be greatly appreciated. Your product
line would become exclusive to Harbor Music Day Camp. Your
name will grace the program for our recital, giving you the
full recognition for the support your have given.
We hope that you will look
over our camp information and find it in your hearts to
sponsor a full or partial scholarship, for one or more of
these young people. The cost of our seven day program that
runs 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., August 25th through August 31st is
$495.00. This includes snacks, music instruction, use of
instruments, instructional materials, workshops, swimming,
tennis and so much more. There will be counselors,
lifeguards and an EMT on duty at all times.
In addition, we will send you
an “end of camp” report and pictures so you can see how
your support has helped to make for some very happy campers.
